We take you on a safari through the picturesque countryside of Rajasthan on pure bred “Marwari” Indian horses from The Mandawa Stud Farm.
The experience transports you back in time as we cross the sparse desert terrain, through colorful villages of rural India where we interact with the local villagers and tribal nomads. We offer “Old World” Indian hospitality in our luxury tents and camps, where you are served gourmet sit-down meals by our liveried staff in the middle of the wilderness. We also include a stay at “Castle Mandawa”, which was built in 1755 AD in a township that was a trading outpost for the ancient caravan routes from China to the Middle East.
A typical day in your safari could be a morning horse-back ride to a national wild life sanctuary, then traveling by jeep to sight the animals. Lunch would be a banquet meal under the shade of “khejri” trees at your next camp site. At nightfall, we would organize a special performance of traditional folk dancers, musicians or a dancing “Marwari” horse to entertain you while you dine. Our luxury tented camps offer comfortable overnight accommodation. A camel could be your mode of transport for the next leg of your safari through the sand dunes in the morning.
